This past week, three inspirational individuals in my life…

This past week, three inspirational individuals in my life passed in 1997, 2015 and 2017. These people made a difference in my past life and all still live in my heart today. How can I best pay tribute to them in a blog much less as a health coach?

On our first road trip…

through the American Southwest on our way to  Santa Fe, little did I know how I would feel about a princess. I didn’t grow up with the news of royal families and I never thought I would be spending 17 years living in London where I learned more about the love people have for the Queen of people’s hearts, Princess Diana. On our trip back to Seattle, somewhere between New Mexico and Utah, we heard the tragic news of her death in Paris.

I didn’t know her then but I felt a deep sadness and love for her, her sons and for the people who loved her. Two years later, my wife and I decided to move to London to start a new chapter in our lives. We watched her sons grow up as I grew to know her and love her even more.

One of my favourite ways to create value while commuting on the Tube was to listen to my audiobooks. Audible was a fairly new experience for us and iPhones were well into 7 years of changing peoples lives and we were well into our own transformation of personal growth, personal development, and entrepreneurship while holding our ‘day jobs’ in 2015.

‘How to start a new life’ by Wayne Dyer

One of my favorite voices, inspiration, and mentor was of Dr Wayne Dyer. He had an incredible story growing up and I thought I had it rough!  He actually saved me on the many hours commuting on overcrowded, dirty, hot & sweaty train rides by providing me a sense of peace, calm and compassion.

Exactly 2 years later on the same day, Wayne Dyer passed away, another visionary in my life had passed. Louise Hay who was a pioneer in many, many ways founded Hay House who published many of Wayne Dyer’s works. I was introduced to her work in 1998 but really didn’t read her most well-known book, ‘You Can Heal Your Life’ until I was house-ridden, sick with an unknown illness and it was her book that I finally read 13 years later.

She not only helped me heal myself, which took almost a full year, but Louise Hay had also helped my girlfriend survive her life-threatening condition back in 1988 through her positive affirmations, something completely new to me back then. Wayne Dyer was so close to Louise Hay in many ways, it doesn’t seem so coincidental that she joined him on the same exact day.

“Everyone needs to be valued. Everyone has the potential to give something back.”  Princess Diana

So, how can I bring this to you and give you something you can apply to your life?  The best way I can pay tribute to Princess Diana, Dr Wayne Dyer and Louise Hay is to share these small pieces of inspiration. Share this with someone you love and tell them how grateful you are to them.

“I have come to this planet to learn to love myself more and to share that love with all those around me,”  Louise Hay   download her book “You Can Heal Your Life” here
